1. Advanced Offshore Construction Vinylester construction throughout. Gurit engineering. Category A Ocean. Vacuum-infused vinylester structures, closed-cell foam cores and strategic carbon reinforcement combine strength and stiffness with controlled structural weight. The W72 is engineered for serious offshore operation and certified CE Category A — Ocean.

2. Proven Offshore Performance Long-range efficiency when cruising. Serious speed when required. The supplied BoatTest/trial material gives us an unusually good performance story: approximately 800 NM at 11.5 knots with 10% reserve, while GranOcean's own trials indicate approximately 1.7 L/NM at 7 knots. BoatTest recorded approximately 26 knots in six-foot seas and 18-knot winds while carrying 90% fuel. I would retain these as attributed test figures rather than generic manufacturer claims.

3. Superyacht Volume at 72 Feet 32'9" of beam transforms what is possible. At 72' × 32'9", the W72 provides enormous interior and exterior living areas, substantial storage and tender capacity and accommodation possibilities extending to six guest cabins plus crew—without moving into an 80–90 ft yacht.

4. Builder-Direct Design & Engineering From designer to owner without the middleman. GranOcean owns the shipyard, allowing owners, representatives and captains to work directly with the people designing, engineering and constructing the yacht. Eric So and Scott Suen provide direct technical involvement throughout the build process.

5. Genuinely Semi-Custom A platform rather than a predetermined layout. Owner's yacht, family cruiser or crewed charter platform: cabin configuration, galley location, flybridge, furniture, crew arrangements, tender storage, propulsion, equipment and energy systems can be developed around the owner's programme. The current guide explicitly offers layout, interior, engine, equipment and hybrid/solar choices.

6. Specialist Design Pedigree Engineering expertise from recognised specialists. Gurit composite/structural engineering, Stimson Marine CFD hull development, Howard Apollonio naval architecture and Vripack interiors combine specialist expertise rather than relying upon a single design discipline. 7. Range and Performance in the Same Platform Cruise efficiently—or deploy up to 2,300 hp. The W72 offers twin 550 hp Cummins as standard, optional twin 715 hp Cummins or twin 1,150 hp CAT C18s. Combined with 6,000 litres of fuel, that allows the yacht to be configured around long-range efficiency or substantially greater performance.

8. Ocean Capability with Remarkably Shallow Draft. 72 feet. 32'9" beam. Just 4'3" draft. This may actually be one of the W72's most commercially powerful attributes: offshore Category A capability, enormous volume and substantial fuel capacity while retaining just 1.30 m draft.
